Oak Creek Homes Withstood Hurricane Laura
Hurricane Laura ravaged the Lake Charles, Louisiana area on August 27, 2020. More than 500,000 residential, manufactured, modular, and mobile homes were destroyed, as well as commercial properties, according to CoreLogic data. Nancy Noland’s Oak Creek home was not one of them. She lives in the Sugarloaf Community of Lake Charles. She says, “Out of 240 something mobile homes in our court, ours came out on the top as the least damaged.”
Nancy and her husband, Charlie bought the Arches 5815 in January of 2018 from the Oak Creek Homes Center in Lake Charles, LA. Grateful to find her home virtually untouched by Laura’s vicious path, Mrs. Noland reached out to us to thank us for building such a well-built, strong home. HEAR the message she left for us by phone (in the video above) and the SEE the pictures (below) that she shared of her community and her home.
